Donate blood – save someone’s life! Blood donation drive at Auchan Katowice Shopping Centre

One decision can help save another person’s health, or even their life. On Tuesday 28 July 2026, we invite you to Auchan Katowice Shopping Centre for a blood donation drive, organised in collaboration with the Regional Blood Donation and Transfusion Centre in Katowice.
A mobile blood collection unit will be stationed in the shopping centre car park from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm. This is an excellent opportunity, whilst visiting the Auchan Katowice Shopping Centre at 30 Tr. N. i J. Renców, to do something truly important for patients in need of transfusions, those who have been in accidents or undergone surgery, and those battling serious illnesses.
Who can donate blood?
We invite anyone who:
- are in good health,
- are aged between 18 and 65,
- weigh at least 50 kg,
- have a photo ID with them.
Before donating blood, you should eat a light meal, stay well-hydrated and avoid alcohol. The final decision on whether you are eligible to give blood will be made by medical staff following a brief interview and basic tests.
A small gesture, a huge help.
Giving blood takes very little time, yet its value to those in need is immeasurable. Blood cannot be manufactured or replaced by any other product – its only source is voluntary donors.
Every participant in the campaign will also receive a sweet treat prepared by Auchan Katowice Shopping Centre.
