Healthy Katowice with the Silesian Academy at the Auchan Katowice Shopping Centre

Look after your health and that of your loved ones with the Auchan Katowice Shopping Centre! This Saturday, 4 July, we invite you to a special event, ‘Healthy Katowice with the Silesian Academy’, organised for everyone who wants to take advantage of free health checks, gain practical knowledge and learn how to respond in situations where health or life is at risk.

Between 10:00 and 14:00 at the Auchan Katowice Shopping Centre, you’ll be able to take part in health-promoting activities organised in collaboration with the Silesian Academy.

What can participants expect?

The event will feature, amongst other things:

Free ECGs and blood pressure
checks: This is an excellent opportunity to quickly and conveniently check your basic health indicators whilst doing your daily shopping.

First aid 
workshops: Participants will learn how to respond correctly in emergencies, how to assist an injured person, and why a swift response can save a life.

Heart
disease prevention: Experts will explain how to look after your heart on a daily basis, what warning signs to watch out for, and why regular check-ups are so important.

Promotion of medical degree programmes at the 
Silesian Academy: Those interested in medical education will be able to find out about the Silesian Academy’s programmes and discuss career opportunities in healthcare professions.

Health whilst shopping

The ‘Healthy Katowice with the Silesian Academy’ event is open to whole families, senior citizens, working people and anyone who wants to look after their health – no prior booking is required. Simply visit the Auchan Katowice Shopping Centre on Saturday 4 July and enjoy the activities on offer.

It’s also a great opportunity to combine your everyday shopping with looking after your health. You can shop in comfort, relax in the shopping centre and, at the same time, gain knowledge that could prove very valuable in your daily life.
